Capital Campaigns

Non-profit organizations generally conduct capital campaigns to raise funds for new or renovated buildings, equipment and endowment funds. These campaigns often place an additional burden on an already overburdened development staff. With proper assessment of fundraising and staffing capabilities along with detailed campaign planning, campaigns can not only reach or exceed goals but also add long-term value to development programs.

Marcia Feldman & Associates provides the following services for small to medium –sized capital campaigns:

  • Write job descriptions and assist with hiring internal campaign staff if necessary.
  • Develop campaign logo and all campaign materials including brochures, letterhead, pledge cards and other collateral materials.
  • Assist with the selection and organization of a campaign steering committee including developing job descriptions, setting meeting agendas, notifying committee members of meetings, designing and preparing campaign status reports and updates for every meeting.
  • Providing prospect research for the campaign including assessment of foundations, corporations, individuals and groups. Assist with rating these prospects for size of gift and determining the most appropriate contact.
  • In conjunction with the steering committee make recommendations and strategies for securing lead gifts.
